I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately, but I have the cutest video to share of the puppies morning routine. They race out the door to potty and play every morning around 6:00. I hope it brings some joy to your day! If you don't already follow me on YouTube, be sure to follow. I try to post puppy and occasionally cooking and homesteading videos.

The puppies had their first visit to the vet on Saturday. They had a lot to say on the way to the vet lol, but slept soundly on the way home. Post vet nap time We carried them into the veterinarian office in a laundry basket. Of course, once they got settled in a room, they ran around exploring. If you are looking for a vet in southern IL, we love Solid Rock Veterinary Clinic. They have made house calls for our 4-H livestock and are always so kind and affordable. I love how they answer all of our questions and are always willing to teach us how to care for our animals, like trimming sheep hooves and cleaning dog ears. The puppies were microchipped, got their first shots, and worming medicine so they were pooped after they got home from the vet. They had a great first visit and all are healthy. Love these snuggly puppy faces. Sweet Chewie (pictured above) and Little Bear are still available for adoption. We just reduced their price to help them find their forever homes. See more on our pricing page. Plus our puppies come with a crate, bed, collar, leash, puppy food, and more to help them transition smoothly into their new homes.
The puppies are growing and discovering more and more each day. They enjoy their puppy food and are pretty much weaned. They go out to potty and play several times a day. It is amazing how much they have grown in just seven weeks. Our 5 year old made a napping box for the puppies one afternoon and Spot decided it was a suitable place to relax. The box had a small pillow and some toys inside. She spent the afternoon chilling in the box which of course made Robert's day. Sweet Chewie snuggled up against the table. I walked in one day to find little miss Violet cuddled up with the stuffed tiger. She must have been really comfy because she slept on the tiger for a while. The puppies got their first bath, a nail trim and the boys all volunteered to help. They were so fluffy and snuggly. The puppies love to play. They play hard, then they sleep even harder.
We started taking the puppies outside to use the potty and they love their outdoor outings. It's kind of crazy with 5 little puppies running around so when the boys can help, it's all hands on deck.
I just caught this one longingly looking out the window wishing for more outdoor playtime. It was so cute I had to snap a picture.
A little crazy, but a lot of fun and it's so good for the puppies to get outside for a bit.

I just realized I'm behind on posting puppy YouTube videos to the puppy post so here's the latest from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
The puppies are so much more active now. They wrestle and play with each other and look out over the whelping box, which is so cute. The boys love it, as they are getting some puppy cuddle time too. Here are some photos from the last couple of days. They are 4 1/2 weeks old. I just love this snuggly photo. Sweet Chewie who is still available. He's a little snuggler who doesn't miss a meal. Relaxing in the warm sunshine. Just so squishy and snuggly! And sleepy! If interested in one of our F1 mini golden doodles, fill out a puppy application. They will be available March 1st.
The puppies are 3 1/2 weeks old now and they are growing and becoming more and more energetic each day. They are so much fun! They are starting to play with each other...we often hear their tiny barking as they tumble and chew on each other. It is beyond cute! Watch this video for cuteness overload! We still have two available puppies. Even though the puppies will be adopted into their own families, we gave them names to identify them until they receive their permanent names. Little Bear is affectionately named after our beloved children's series, Maurice Sendak's Little Bear. Chewie is lovingly named after Chewbacca, a favorite Star Wars character. Chewie is at least a half pound larger than Little Bear, weighing in at over 4 1/2 pounds so we thought Chewie fit perfectly. If interested in a puppy, you can fill out a puppy application.
The puppies are just starting to open their eyes which has been so exciting for all of us. The boys came running in yesterday and asked me to take a picture because they thought the way this one little puppy was positioned was so cute. And it was!
In the next couple of days we should start to see all of their eyes opening up. They are starting to get a little noisier too. They are still quietly sleeping most of the time or nursing, but every now and then we hear the most adorable little squeaks.

We had an exciting New Year's Eve as our sweet Marigold gave birth to 5 adorable F1 mini golden doodle puppies.
Marigold, our ACA registered golden retriever was bred with Sammy, an AKC registered toy poodle, from Adventure Doodles.
Marigold has been a great mother and her precious puppies are thriving. It has been a great experience for the whole family. In just one week, the puppies have grown so much. The boys have been weighing them and recording their weights every couple of days. They started out in the 10-12 ounce range and now the smallest is 1 pound 5 ounces and the largest is just over a pound and a half which means they have doubled their birth weights in just one week!
