The puppies had their first visit to the vet on Saturday. They had a lot to say on the way to the vet lol, but slept soundly on the way home. Post vet nap time We carried them into the veterinarian office in a laundry basket. Of course, once they got settled in a room, they ran around exploring. If you are looking for a vet in southern IL, we love Solid Rock Veterinary Clinic. They have made house calls for our 4-H livestock and are always so kind and affordable. I love how they answer all of our questions and are always willing to teach us how to care for our animals, like trimming sheep hooves and cleaning dog ears. The puppies were microchipped, got their first shots, and worming medicine so they were pooped after they got home from the vet. They had a great first visit and all are healthy. Love these snuggly puppy faces. Sweet Chewie (pictured above) and Little Bear are still available for adoption. We just reduced their price to help them find their forever homes. See more on our pricing page. Plus our puppies come with a crate, bed, collar, leash, puppy food, and more to help them transition smoothly into their new homes.

The puppies are growing and discovering more and more each day. They enjoy their puppy food and are pretty much weaned. They go out to potty and play several times a day. It is amazing how much they have grown in just seven weeks. Our 5 year old made a napping box for the puppies one afternoon and Spot decided it was a suitable place to relax. The box had a small pillow and some toys inside. She spent the afternoon chilling in the box which of course made Robert's day. Sweet Chewie snuggled up against the table. I walked in one day to find little miss Violet cuddled up with the stuffed tiger. She must have been really comfy because she slept on the tiger for a while. The puppies got their first bath, a nail trim and the boys all volunteered to help. They were so fluffy and snuggly. The puppies love to play. They play hard, then they sleep even harder.
We started taking the puppies outside to use the potty and they love their outdoor outings. It's kind of crazy with 5 little puppies running around so when the boys can help, it's all hands on deck.
I just caught this one longingly looking out the window wishing for more outdoor playtime. It was so cute I had to snap a picture.
A little crazy, but a lot of fun and it's so good for the puppies to get outside for a bit.
